ECO Resource Management goes back to the early days of Ontario's environmental regulatory framework. The company started small and grew, over five decades of work across every sector, into one of Ontario's go-to waste consulting firms.
The Beginning
Our founders got into waste management while Ontario's first environmental regulations were still being written. Working directly with industrial clients in those early years taught us how compliance actually plays out on the ground. That experience still shapes how we design programs.
Expanding Into Recycling
When Ontario's blue box program took shape, we added commercial recycling. We worked with municipalities and private sector clients to build practical diversion programs for office buildings, factories, and retail.
Growth & Diversification
The nineties were a growth period. We added organics diversion, special waste handling, and liquid waste services. By the end of the decade, clients who used to manage five vendors could manage one.
ECO Resource Management Inc. Incorporated
The company formally incorporated as ECO Resource Management Inc. With a proven service model in place, we scaled across Ontario, picking up clients in commercial office, healthcare, food processing, and manufacturing.
E-Waste & Digital Age Compliance
E-waste became a compliance headache for businesses overnight. We added certified e-waste recycling and data destruction, becoming one of the first Ontario consultants to offer a fully managed, chain-of-custody program for business clients.
